TO CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA
I'd love to address some questions about our upcoming love:
First and foremost, I want to express how excited I am for this move, but also the raw saddness I will have to leave such a magical home. We have lived along the Emerald Coast for 11 years now, and during that time I have made this place my home. We have friendships here that we cherish, memories made here that are unforgettable, and have built a business here that has completely changed the trajectory of mine and my family's lives. This area will always hold such a special place in my heart. However, we are so excited for this new venture and an opportunity to be closer to family. We have two more months before the move, but I wanted to take this opportunity to address any and all questions that I have been asked by current and past clients.
FAQ
WHEN ARE YOU RELOCATING?
We will be relocating to the Charleston area the second week of August, 2024.
WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?
Skylar, my fiance, accepted a promotion that would be relocating us to this GORGEOUS city that conveniently happens to be closer to family.
WHEN WILL YOU START ACCEPTING BOOKINGS IN CHARLESTON?
I will be accepting bookings starting August 15th, 2024.
WILL YOU TRAVEL BACK?
Yes- I have several weddings planned for the fall that I will be traveling back for. Beyond that- I will be still be coming back to the Destin area periodically, as we have many friends there. During these times, I will be accepting bookings. Get on my email list to get my travel dates first!
I will also still be accepting beach elopements and weddings all alng the Emerald Coast.
CAN I STILL BOOK YOU WHEN WE COME TO THE DESTIN AREA?
If your trip coincides with one of my trips (don't forget to subscribe to my email list to get a first look at travel dates!), then yes! However, if it does not, I have a list of some of the Emerald Coast's most talented photographers that I am happy to refer to you!
WHY DID SKYLAR ALREADY MOVE BUT YOU'RE STILL HERE?
This is such a good question! Skylar, my finace (and a major moving part of this business) had to start his new position in May. However, Summer is my busy season and I already had soooo many clients booked. I have no intention to let any of my clients down, so I decided to remain here to finish up my already booked summer months. Aspen (my daughter) and I will be moving in early August for the start of school, and I will continue to travel back for any and all scheduled weddings/sessions. Yes, this will be alot, but it's the price I am willing to pay to show up for my clients.
ANY BIG PLANS FOR CHARLESTON?
Oh my goodness, I am so excited! Charleston is such a beautiful city and a photographer's dream location. I cannot wait to start taking on clients there! However, relocating a family and business to a new area is not for the faint of heart. There's already so many incredibly talented creatives that are well established in the area and I cannot wait to meet some of them. But with that being said, I will have to find a way to stand out amongst all the stellar photographers to find my dream clients.
